I Can't Hate You (Anymore)

I put out my cigarette
And I swallowed my pride
I pushed back the anger
That was building up inside

Cuz what good does anger do me?
It doesn't get me any place
It just makes you a stranger
When I once found a friendly face

You say that I don't love you
If I step one foot out that door
But baby, it's not like that
I can't hate you anymore
You say that you're confused
And you don't know the reasons why
But life is not that easy
It's not about who's wrong or right

We've slammed every single door
We've built up every wall
Till words ceased to be spoken
And we threw away it all
Now you say that I don't love you
If I step one foot out that door
But baby, it's not like that
I can't hate you anymore
We tried everything we could
But we're beating a dead horse
So it's time to say goodbye
I can't hate you anymore

It's no secret that every song I write is a little autobiographical. I really don't know what to say about this song. Some songs are really easy to write, and some are a little difficult. This song was a little more difficult to write.
