Party Doll

What do you do

When the lights go down
And the sun comes up
And there’s no one around
To hear you cry
You only fly so long
Before you gotta come down

And you look for comfort
But the only thing around
Is the call of the night
It’s a lonely life for the party doll

You’re like a silhouette
By the light of the day
But the stars come out
And it’s time to play
You’re on top of the world
In the center of it all
But it comes to an end
When he says last call
What do you do
When the lights go down
And the sun comes up
And there’s no one around
To hear you cry
You only fly so long
Before you gotta come down

And you look for comfort
But the only thing around
Is the call of the night
It’s a lonely life for the party doll
He says forever
But he means tonight
And you say it’s real
But you know I’m right

So I’ll say good night
And when you’re all alone
You know I’ll be here
When you pick up the phone
You only fly so long
Before you gotta come down

And you look for comfort
But the only thing around
Is the call of the night
It’s a lonely life for the party doll

I've had my day... so this song is written as if I was giving advice to a friend... and who knows? Maybe someone will get something from this... I know it was inspiring to write...
